A bliss of Solitude: Kill the Shadow of Doubt with a Naked truth

Image
"I don't lie but I hold the truth for the right time to come." So I remain silent and let them call it conspiracy of silence and I keep myself small so that they don't see me coming. Disclaimer: To avoid the accusation of plagiarism, let me mention that above quotes are improvisation of Kavin Spacey's dialogues from "The house of cards" and the Al-Pachinno's dialogues from "the Devils Advocate". The bad new is that the aforementioned crap has nothing to do with the crap that follows the current crap. The only reason for writing the above crap is not only to make it little cheesy but also to make the later crap little enticing. Moreover I could not find any reasonable forewords hence the above crap serves the purpose of freaking filler as well. Now the million dollar question: "why me God? why me? Why me everytime? Why things go wrong for me?  WTH man!" Despite the fact that we have knowledge of the precursors, consequence...

Computer Eye Strain

Image
Being a programmer, I got to sit in front of computer perhaps like 10 hours per day and every now and then I end up sitting more than that.  So one working day, in the midday, my eyes started to sore. I took some rest and everything was fine. Next day same time, same pain and gradually it became a routine. It kept of reducing my productivity with every coming day. I visited a doctor. He said I am suffering from Computer Eyes and it is quite common. So I got some medicine, took some rest, got bit better and then a month later, the same situation.  To cut a long story short,  it turned out that in my workspace, I was using two displays with variable brigthness and then on top of it, different sizes. I used to focus of my LCD but then the glare of my Laptop's screen would always cause distraction which I did not realize at that time. So onwards, I turned off my laptop's screen and stopped sitting in front of the window and the thing gradually started to get better....

A bliss of solitude: Our Weird Obsessions

For William Wordsworth the dancing daffodils were a bliss of solitude because he was into nature and he fancied  contemplating and re-contemplating every bit of natural beauty that he once saw. For me it is something else. I love to study human behaviors. It is my bliss of solitude. Sometime I wonder where does this love of nature took William Wordsworth to. What was the motive behind all that. What was the efficacy of such a pursuit.  May be he believed in the unity of the universe. May be believed in the master plan behind the creation of this entire world and may be he was in search of the Master mind, the maker, the Almighty, the omnipotent who created this world in just 6 days. Well that can be one hell of a motive. That makes some sense since the the age of enlightenment was there and people at that time killed many gods already so he was in search of something genuine. Fair enough! Other than making WW a God fearing person, this also might have made him a hu...

Tawasul: Saying Ya Muhamamd Ya Ali Madad (Yet to be completed)

Image
Preface: This post is dedicated to my little sister who asked me about the concept of "Ya Ali Madad". She was actually pointing towards  "Tawasul". Although I am not personally a religious scholar on any matter whatsoever but merely a humble student. I was quite motivated to write on it because this one issue is the most controversial and widely misunderstood. It can rightly be called the apple of discord among the major sects of Muslims. I collected my evidence from various web resource which basically stem from Quran. All I tried my best to keep the level of accuracy and not to add my own views even. But still I would say that good comes from Allah and all that is bad come from my own flaws, mistakes and imperfections. The Simple Answer: A simple answer to the aforementioned proposition "Say Ya Ali Madas or not?" is given by Ayatollah Bashir Najfi Sb: http://www.alnajafi.org/questions-and-answers/41-aqeedah/55-qu...

Life in Germany: Drinking Alcohol-Free Beer

Image
Note: I f you want to head to the conclusion, see  the last 2 sections of the article "Should I drink Non-Alcoholic Beer or Not" and "Which NA Beer Should One Opt For".   Forewords Being a practicing Muslim, I totally refrain from Alcohol and even strictly keep an eye on the ingredients of various edible products. Now there was a case, when I came across this Alcohol-free Beer. It seemed really interesting. So I tried it once and kind of liked it. Then, one fine morning, I came to know that this kind of beer, sometimes called "Near Beer" or " Low Alcoholic beer " is made in a manner that  you make alcoholic beer or wine first, and then remove the alcohol. This is done by simply distilling the beverage as if you were going to make liquor but instead you  extract a beverage by distilling the fermented liquor.   There are two way to remove Alcohol out of the beer. The first process is called Vacuum Distillation . The beer or wine is put un...

Vanity is the Greatest Vice

Image
A feel of excessive and false pride that may have been actually thrust upon you, can make you commit what you will, in most likelihood, regret in the future. Moula Ali (A.S) rightly said Do not take any Decision when you are Furious Do not make any Promise when you are Jubilant Same goes for vanity as well which is an extension of  jubilation. Sometimes it happens that you begin to bag victories in every battle that you fight and odds are high that some influential big guns will flatter you. Eventually you will choose to became their tool of choice and they begin to use you which may has many repercussions. Sound very cheesy! But this does happens in our professional lives. Even in the IT industry as well, the very field I am working in. Since you got the skills and people will like you work for them. I won't name any organization but these people offer you a luxurious life style and in return make you work up to 12 hours a day. Personally if I would be in su...

How to Stop People From Reading Your Mind and Judging You

Image
Wow look what I've found today. That's absolutely fascinating. Well let me clear what was I up to and what I bumped into ;). I know a person who is freaking awesome in getting into you bloody head and read your bleeding mind. May be he wasn't that good but he knew me so well that he could actually tell what I was thinking and honestly, I was slightly pissed of sometimes. So I started googling about how to stop people from reading your mind.  The first thing I deduced is to get familiar with your emotions and totally be in control of your thoughts. Always make your words match your perception  This will result in a mark clarity in your communication.  As I said get familiar with your emotions, we know that there can be zillions of different ways you can feel, specially  when it comes to the curious cases of poor women. But psychologists have made life easier for us by categorizing the complicated plethora...

The Bliss of Solitude: The Enigma of Self-perception (Continues!)

Image
Preface One of our dilemmas is our inability to gather the right self-perception. One perceives oneself through the eyes of others and this leads to self confidence or delusions i.e. the one who is fortunate enough to get honest opinions, sets a correct line of action for his/her life (That also mean accepting who you are!) and heads towards becoming a person that he/she desire to be. Others who unfortunately get false opinions, end up having self-deceptions, delusions or in other case the skepticism about their personalities. This is quite common among teenagers but the quest of seeking one's identity can prolong if the right measures are not taken at the right time. Most of us keep looking for identity until we enter our professional lives. One thing that makes wonder is that most of us identify ourselves with our profession and take pride in it. By the way, this is what some employers do now-a-days i.e. inducing an false pride in you and motivating you to work on something...

How to Motivate People to contribute to a cause: Some random thoughts

Image
Working on Knowledge Management via application design patterns as part of my master thesis at Fraunhofer Institute FIT Germany, I came across success stories where people joined hands together to form a community of practice. They shared, disseminated and refined knowledge and eventually the knowledge base flourished in to a mature intellectual asset. For instance  Yahoo! Design Pattern Library  which has been around for more than 10 years now and frequently used and updated by the experts around the world. But for quite a while a, single question kept lingering in my brain i.e. How do we motivate people to share their knowledge?   Since every act in the knowledge management process requires a motivation. The entire process would collapse if there is not motivation of the contributors.    So the natural response to that comes to our mind is "Incentives". really! But this does not suffice the proposition. Rather this leads to a number of other...

Can we Blame God for all the Atrocities in the World?

Image
There are certain things that we plan in our lives and  then there are others that are accidental and coincidental. We just bump into them or we can't just help it. So it is not that everything goes ahead according to our plans. At times you may purpose and  apparently  it may seem like God is disposing every strategy you designed.  But the fact of the matter is that we can't blame God for anything. Ones who say "My God is dead" don't know what are talking about. There are people who believe in the fact that the world is a result of an intelligent design. They do believe that God is an architect of the entire system we are living in. He gave us brain and the authority to choose between right and wrong. So blaming God for the  dis-balance  in the world doesn't at all make sense.   We do hear nonbelievers asking that where is your God when a poor dies of hunger or a innocent falls victim to the atrocities of a tyrant. But what I could understand i...

The art of Deciphering your experiences to words

Sometimes I ponder upon the the wit of the great philosopher and poets around us or that are history now. They had a thinking of great complexity based on certain logical grounds. They were bestowed with an ability to weave superb scenarios for instance a meeting with the beloved and the elucidating the beloved's beauty. Now they needed an equal power of elaboration since they had a very powerful ideology behind and if here the power of expression subdues the strength of conceptualization they had gem of a pen works. This was how penetrating their words were. Power of Expression with the Strength of Perception are the real guts that are rarely found in people.

In quest of a Long Sustainable Career

Einstein say: “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.” At times in life we tend to pursue what will never let us shine. For instance if someone has a good communication and one opts for the task that will never let one speak then the person is simply ruining his life. Your career path follows a similar pattern. But there are certain times when we have goals and there are prerequisites that we have to categorically fulfill and head towards these goals. This requires tremendous patience and anticipation. We might move slowly but we ought to move ahead. The key to success is keeping some mission statements and eying on your status with in 5 to 10 years. Keep your nerves, sentiments under control. Though emotions don't follow any logic but some how we have to manage it. I really believe in the fact there few examples where success is served before the mortals decorated in a plate or is it is due to certain X-Factors. Few are lucky ones. B...
